Alcohol, Bipolar Disorder Intervention
Hope all is going well for you. I wanted to give you an update on John.
Jeff and I drove from Scottsdale to New Method Wellness on Friday. Our family day took place yesterday. We were able to drop by the house where Joel is living late Friday afternoon and spent a couple hours with him. We met a few of the other guys and Terry, the house manager. Nana and one of my other sisters drove from her home in Boulder City to meet us and see John as well. John is the healthiest we have seen him for years. He seemed genuinely glad to see us. John said the New Method staff are “great people” and seems to have made a good connection with them. DeAnna and John seem to have a great rapport as well, with a nice balance of respect, candor, honesty and warmth. Family day was, as it is meant to be, emotional and healing. We are grateful we are on this path.
Jeff and I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism you exhibited on the intervention. I am sure looking for an interventionist is not on the top ten list of anyone’s bucket list. At the beginning of this process we had no clue what to expect but when it was over we knew we had found the perfect guy for the job. You prepared Jeff and Nana, Kathi, Chris and Ben, better than we could have imagined. Understanding the mind of an addict is an important part of the process which you obviously excel at. We continue to marvel at the way you navigated the challenges we faced with during the process. Your ability to do so gave us the confidence that regardless of the results of the intervention, we knew that if anyone would be able to reach John, it would be you. The two phrases that helped me the most prior to the “landing” were- “not doing nothing is the worst thing you can do” and “don’t worry, you are in good hands.”
You are a blessing to our family and an answer to prayer. Your commitment to follow your passion, saves individuals and families. Thank you.
